PAST PROJECTS

“ECHOES”

SACRAMENTO KINGS (SPEC)

THE BRIEF | To create anticipation for the upcoming Sacramento Kings basketball season.

THE CONCEPT | I created the concept and wrote the scrip for this spec commercial with the idea of evoking both nostalgia and hope within the same time and place. Empty basketball courts are the central character of the video; a place where the memories and spirits of past legends co-exist with the dreams of the future. Time spent on the basketball court is relatable to all basketball players and fans. Basketball courts are common ground; egalitarian arenas where people from all socioeconomic backgrounds, races, genders and nationalities are free to compete, make memories and dream.

PRODUCTION & POST PRODUCTION | I shot all of the time lapse footage in, and around, the Sacramento area, edited with LR Timelapse + Premiere Pro and created motion graphics effects in After Effects. Music composed by Metro Rock

“IN THE JOURNEY”

YAKIMA

THE BRIEF | To create a short branded documentary that captures how the brand can help facilitate an adventurous lifestyle.

THE CONCEPT | This short branded documentary provides a snapshot in the life of a passionate nature and adventure photographer. The activities and lifestyle that the brand (Yakima) helps facilitate takes center stage, while the brand itself makes a subtle yet impactful appearance throughout. The goal was to express the themes of freedom and chasing one’s dreams in a way that resonates with viewers on an emotional level, without feeling forced or manufactured.

PRODUCTION & POST PRODUCTION | I conceptualized, planned, shot and edited the final video and delivered it for use on Yakima’s website as well as versions optimized for social media platforms.

COMPANY RECRUITMENT VIDEO: “A LOVE OF FAMILY”

STANISLAUS FOOD PRODUCTS

THE BRIEF | To recruit employees by authentically capturing the family centered culture of one of Stanislaus Food Products.

THE CONCEPT | The goal of this video was to capture the themes of family, gratitude, loyalty, integrity and pride by having a family that works for the company, tell us why they love working here authentically. We spent a day with 4 members of the family, across two generations, conducting a sit down interview with all members together and shot B-roll of them at work and at home.

PRODUCTION & POST PRODUCTION | I worked with Excelerate Digital and Stanislaus Food Products marketing to plan the video and then shot and edited the video, delivering the final video for use on the company’s website and recruitment outreach.

PRODUCT VIDEOS

SPECIALIZED BICYCLES

THE BRIEF | To present the overall look, details and features of Specialized Bicycles’ new releases of bikes in a simple, dynamic way. The company wanted a more 3 dimensional, interactive presentation of the products to supplement photos and text descriptions for shoppers.

THE CONCEPT | We decided to keep the look minimal with dramatic lighting so that the viewer could quickly and easily be presented with the details, look and components of each bike when shopping for a new bike.

PRODUCTION & POST PRODUCTION | To keep things streamlined and minimal, we shot the bikes against a black backdrop, using strong side and backlights. For the camera movement, we shot many angles utilizing a jib and dolly combination for smooth and dynamic movement. On the companies website, the product video of each bike was featured along with the photos and description.

PRODUCTION & POST PRODUCTION | We did extensive location scouting and research so that we could logistically shoot this video over the course of 2 days.
